Evaluation for Strictly come dancing

Image
For my strictly come dancing theme i chosen a Spanish dancer i thought it went really well i enjoyed doing the whole look especially the makeup. I usually do really bold dramatic makeup and i done really natural makeup for TV. My model is mixed raced and i have never worked on her skin tone before and i thought it would work perfect for my theme and so i can push myself instead of doing the same skin tones and the same bold makeup all the time. I chose to do a brown smoky eye with a bold red lip to compliment on the red in the dress and the red flower in her hair. I think that it really suited her skin tone and especially with the smokey eye as it was all neutral colours. I wanted her hair to big big and curly she already had wavy hair so i added a few curls and back combed it to make it has a lot of volume and it looked really nice and i added a flower to add more to my spanish theme. I found my photographer from the university photography students as we went to a meet up and he ...

How to make a bald cap

First of all you need to start off by measuring the head of you model as you want it to be the perfect fit. A lot of bald caps are used for film and TV so its mandatary to have it that it fits perfectly.        Starting in the front at your natural hairline, follow along your hairline just above your   ear. Continue to bend of neck, over other ear, to starting point.        Measure from the front of your natural hairline back over the crown, where your head bends and meets the back of your neck.         Start in front of one ear, bringing your tape measure over the crown to the front of your other ear.     Once you have measured the head you will need a red head and a marker pen and using the measurements draw them onto the read head making sure you are as accurate as possible so it will fit the models head.      Going around the ...

Strictly Come Dancing Theme Ideas

Image
For my theme of strictly come dancing i have decided to do a Spanish flamenco dance. I was stuck for ideas at first i was going to do ballroom dancing but i thought about the time i went to Puerto Rico there was Flamenco dancers and i loved it. The way they move the music and the outfits was just amazing. I have been doing some research and i have watched some videos online to get some inspiration on makeup, the clothes and the dance moves to get inspiration for the poses i want my model to do whilst on the shoot. For the outfit i want a traditional frilly Flamenco dress with the traditional colours Black, Yellow and Red. I want my model to look like a spanish flamenco dancer so i have chosen a model to have quite tanned skin as they do in spain. I think this will work well for me especially as i haven't got any mixed raced models in my portfolio so i think this will be a really good idea. So i can demonstrate that i can work on different skin types not just fair skinn...

Liquid Latex A hairdryer  Talc Powder If you was to age your hand you will need to take your concealer or eyeshadow and contour the bones and the knuckles of the hand this is just to make your skin look more aged as you can see the bones on someones hand thats aged quite a lot. HD Foundations

High-definition  cosmetics are made with light reflecting ingredients and it is the reflective particles that make  HD foundation  flattering. Diffusing light gives the illusion of an even and smooth finish so you can't make out the flaws the  foundation is concealing. It is like airbrushing but for your skin. HD products don't cake on the skin and if used correctly, your skin looks as close to perfect while still appearing natural, as possible.  Originally developed to hide the flaws of people who work in front of high definition television, movie and photo cameras, the product's reputation of making the skin appear natural but flawless is what has made it gain mainstream popularity. High-definition makeup formulas are designed to be sheer while still concealing uneven skin texture and other flaws.  HD make-up is great for tv and cameras because you can see the skin through the make-up but it creates a softer focus compared to the pancake make-up used ...
